Soon after leaving the village of Bryncir there is a pub on the left called “The Goat Inn”. Just after the pub there is a right hand turn for Criccieth on the B4411. Follow B4411 for about 3.5 miles to Criccieth. You will know when you are entering Criccieth, as there are speed ramps in the road. Continue downhill towards the centre of Criccieth. You will go past Regent Garage (a Mercedes/Volkswagen dealership).
At the crossroads in centre of the village go straight over. You have to give way at the crossroads as A497 has priority. After a short distance go over a level crossing and immediately turn left. You can now see the sea. Go down the hill and as you near the bottom of the hill you will see a turning called Beach Bank on your left.
Turn left onto Beach Bank. Beach Bank is a one way public highway – exit 50 yds after the hotel. You can park anywhere along the length of the road but kindly take care not to block the gates/front doors of our neighbours. Just before the hotel and outside the hotel the road is quite narrow so please park tight against the hedge/wall to enable other cars to drive past. We would also recommend that you turn your drivers door mirror in.
Directions: From Porthmadog on the A497
When you come into Criccieth there is a 40 MPH speed sign and then a 30 MPH sign. Just after the 30 sign turn left towards the beach, go over the railway level crossing and follow the Esplanade round to the right.
The Hotel is in the first set of buildings about 400 yds ahead of you and slightly to the right. Beach Bank is a one way street and the entrance is at the far end, so stay on the sea front road until just before the Blue China Cafe. Then turn right up the hill and then after about 20 yds turn right onto Beach Bank.

On-Street Parking
Apart from free, unrestricted parking on Beach Bank, there are no parking restrictions or charges on the beach side of the Esplanade, immediately below the hotel (there are steps from the Esplanade to Beach Bank). There are also no restrictions or charges for the parking bays outside the Blue China.
Trains
Criccieth is served by Arriva Trains Wales. The station is just over ½ a mile from the hotel and as there is no taxi rank, we recommend you pre book a taxi. Telephone 01766 522726 or Mobile 0776 022 8935.
If you walk from the station, on leaving the platform, walk up the short hill, passing on your left hand side Criccieth TV and The Castle Public House. When you reach the High Street, turn right and continue along the length of the High Street until you reach an open paved area by the main crossroads. Turn right here and after a short distance go over a level crossing and immediately turn left. You can now see the sea. Go down the hill and as you near the bottom of the hill, you will see a turning called Beach Bank on your left. Turn left onto Beach Bank. The hotel is ahead of you.
Car Park
We have a small car park at the rear of the hotel – advisable to book in advance. If you have booked a parking space, it’s probably best to unload at the front of the hotel, and at reception, we will give you instructions on how to find our car park, as it is not the area in front of the garages immediately behind the hotel.
Bus
The main bus stops are on either side of the High Street close to the Memorial Hall/Prince of Wales Public House. The bus stops are about 1/8 a mile from the hotel and you might wish to pre book a taxi. Telephone 01766 522726 or Mobile 0776 022 8935.
On foot, walk down the hill towards the castle with the Prince of Wales on your left hand side. After a short distance, go over a level crossing and immediately turn left. You can now see the sea.
