If you are looking for a 4 Star, contemporary and relaxed hotel in North Wales, you have come to the right place.
Situated in the quaint town of Criccieth, The Caerwylan is a landmark Victorian building that has been entirely rebuilt to create 24 comfortable, individually designed en-suite bedrooms and new public areas which face south. The hotel offers stunning views over the main beach, Tremadog Bay and towards the ruins of Criccieth Castle.
From our vantage spot, we probably enjoy some of the best seaside views on the Llyn Peninsula.
Accommodation can be booked online 24 hours a day – Book Online, or if you prefer you can give us a call on 01766 522 547.
Feel free to browse through our web site as there are pages on our comfortable accommodation, room rates, our popular Tonnau Restaurant and suggestions on places to visit and things to do in this lovely corner of North Wales.
Executive Sea Facing Bedroom
Spacious, comfortable rooms at the front of the hotel all of which have “wow” views of the sea, beach, castle and mountains. Fresh fruit and bottled water is provided on your arrival day and bathrobes are provided for the duration of your stay, free of charge.
These bedrooms look towards the castle or the town and are ideal for short breaks. All rooms have tea and coffee facilities and en-suite bathrooms.
Spacious and comfortable. We have 5 bedrooms and all of these rooms tend to book well in advance. 4 of the bedrooms have walk in en-suite showers and the fifth bedroom, Room 34, has a bath with shower above.
Superior Sea Facing Bedroom
All have king size beds and are positioned at the front of the hotel on the third floor with sea and mountain views. These rooms are smaller than the Executive Bedrooms, but going to sleep listening to the waves on the beach below is magical! Bathrobes are provided for the duration of your stay, free of charge.
Large Double Bedroom
These rooms are larger than the Standard Double Bedrooms and in rooms 25 and 36, the en-suite has a bath and separate walk in shower. From rooms 12 and 22 there are pleasant views towards the Castle.
Tonnau Restaurant & Bar
Under the guidance of our Head Chef, Levente Tompa, our team strives to produce high quality dishes that will keep you coming back to try something else. From our steaks off the grill, to something a little different that may surprise you.
Our bar has a passionately sourced and varied wine list, a selection of local and international beers and ciders, range of spirits and a selection of 25 different gins. Perhaps enjoy a Roku Gin, Fever-Tree Tonic and ginger garnish as the sun sets, or tuck into a great Bottle of Chocolate Block while perusing the menu before ordering your dinner.
Superb hotel. First visit but not the last. Had a seaview room on front of hotel and what a view, wow. Room was clean, very comfortable. Food was excellent, both at breakfast & evening meal. Very comfortable bar, lounge area. Staff were attentive, very helpful & friendly. Couldn’t do enough for you. Will definitely be back. Criccieth is known as the Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia, but the Caerwylan Hotel is the real gem.
