Bookings By making a booking you are entering into a legal contract. However, we appreciate that circumstances may arise causing cancellation or curtailment of a booking.

Cancellation (excluding non-refundable room bookings): If you wish to cancel or change your booking you must do so by telephoning the hotel no less than 72 hours before your stay is due to commence. Cancellations within 72 hours of arrival will be charged at 100% of the entire stay. If cancelled within 7 days of arrival, you will forfeit your deposit paid.

For bookings made within 72 hours of arrival it follows that the full amount will be due. For your protection, we recommend taking out insurance cover.

 

Non-Refundable Cancellation: For any non-refundable bookings there are no cancellation or changes possible and full payment may be taken at point of booking. In case of a cancellation, 100% of the total amount will be charged as cancellation fee.

 

Group Booking Cancellation (3 or more rooms): If cancelled or modified later the 60 days, 50% of the reservation will be charged. All Group booking are to be paid in full 14 days before arrival and there after no refund will be given in the event of cancelations or modification and no-shows. For your protection we recommend taking out insurance cover.

 

Rates: Rates are variable, and the rates shown on our website are a guide. Rates cannot be confirmed until a deposit is received.  The best rates are generally available via our own website; however, from time to time special offers may be available through other promotions. Plus, with our real time online booking facility we show availability on all 24 of our bedrooms and not just a limited selection of rooms.

Any special offers or discounted rates are non-commission-able and are not available to travel agents, tour operators, conventions or groups.

 

Liability: Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and in no circumstances, will we be responsible to you for any indirect or special damages.  We will not be liable for failure to provide the services to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us, including any damage to our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us, and you agree to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss. Further, all reservations are non-transferable, and we reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears a customer is engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under any other circumstances where it appears that the reservation contains or resulted from a mistake or error by the hotel.

On arrival at the hotel, we would ask that you show your confirmation email and the payment card used to pay for the booking.  Proof of identity may also be requested.  We also reserve the right to pre-authorise your payment card for a minimum of £50 or seek a cash security deposit.

 

Force Majeure: In no event shall the hotel be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations here under arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly, forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, strikes, work stoppages, equipment failure, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes or acts of God, and interruptions, loss or malfunctions of utilities, communications or computer (software and hardware) services; it being understood that the hotel maintains good service records and shall use reasonable efforts which are consistent with accepted practices in the industry to resume performance as soon as practicable under the circumstances.

 

Damages & Disturbances:  All damage and nuisance to other guests, as assessed by the hotel’s management, may result in additional charges.  The hotel is non-smoking/vaping throughout, and guests will be assessed a minimum £100 cleaning fee if they smoke/vape while within the premises.

 

Promotions:  From time to time we offer promotional rates. These rates are usually during weekdays and are only available on certain rooms and at certain times, unless otherwise specified the discount is already factored into the price shown online.

 

Pets:  No pets except guide dogs are allowed in the hotel.

 

Children: Minimum age for children at The Caerwylan is 12.

 

Breakfast: Breakfast is served from 8am to 10am. There is a buffet for starters which includes fruit juices, fresh fruit, yoghurt, a wide range of cereals and pastries. The main course is served by our friendly waiting on staff and can be either a hearty cooked breakfast with the main items sourced from reputable, local producers or Continental or Vegetarian.

 

Credit/Debit Cards: We accept Amex, Delta, Maestro, MasterCard, Visa, at no extra charge.

 

Deposit: £40.00 deposit per room is required at the time of booking. Please telephone 01766 522547 to quote your credit/debit card details.

 

Gift Packages: Fresh flowers, wine or champagne can be ordered for that special occasion. Please enquire for further details.

 

Parking: Subject to availability we have private garages @ £3.00 per night. Beach Bank is a one-way public highway with no parking restrictions and on the Esplanade below there are no parking restrictions on the beach side of the road.

 

VAT: All prices are quoted in £ sterling and include tax (VAT) at 20.00%.
